Where and how is the vehicle picked up?

At the airport: Once you land, you must send us a message via WhatsApp and we will bring the vehicle to the meeting point. We deliver the vehicle at the airport itself, just 100 meters from the terminal exit, in front of the parking building. Detailed instructions will be sent via WhatsApp 1 day before the pick-up date.

In the Palma area, from Playa de Palma to El Arenal: In advance, you must send us a message via WhatsApp to agree on the place and time for the vehicle delivery.

Where is the vehicle returned?

At the airport: The vehicle is returned at the parking building right in front of the terminal. Detailed instructions will be sent via WhatsApp 1 day before the return date.

In the Palma area, from Playa de Palma to El Arenal: In advance, you must send us a message via WhatsApp to agree on the place and time for the vehicle return.

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit and debit cards, mainly Visa and Mastercard. Cards must have an expiry date at least 6 months after the end date of the rental. Cash payments are not accepted.

Is there a minimum age to rent a vehicle?

The minimum age is 18. A valid driving licence and a valid identity document or passport accepted under Spanish/EU legislation are mandatory.

Do you rent vehicles to residents?

We do not rent vehicles to residents of the Balearic Islands.

What are the main differences between the Green Pack and the Red Pack?

Green Pack: includes basic insurance and third-party liability, with a deductible/deposit for damages. The amount (between €500.00 and €1,375.00) depends on the Group/Category of the contracted vehicle. These amounts are specified in the Specific Conditions of the Contract.

Optionally and upon payment, you may add 1 additional driver or a maximum of 2 child seats.

Red Pack: includes fully comprehensive insurance and third-party liability, with no deductible/deposit for damages. In addition, you may add 1 additional driver and a maximum of 2 child seats at no extra cost.

What is the fuel policy?

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the time of delivery.

Can I leave the island of Mallorca?

The vehicle may only be driven within the territory of the island of Mallorca. The vehicle may not be boarded or transported by any means of transport, unless with the prior, explicit and written authorisation of the Lessor.

Are there any restricted or prohibited areas?

Several municipalities have “ACIRE” zones, generally located in historic centres or old towns. Access to these zones is only allowed with prior authorisation from the relevant municipality. Moov rent a car does not manage these authorisations.

During the high season, access to Formentor (Ma-2210) is also restricted.

How can I avoid fines or penalties?
  • We recommend using underground car parks in Palma to avoid parking penalties.
  • Do not enter “ACIRE” zones or restricted access areas without authorisation.
  • Do not exceed speed limits. There are speed cameras in the city as well as on secondary roads and motorways.
Does the vehicle have GPS or geolocation?

Yes. All our vehicles have geolocation systems.

What should I do in case of an accident?
  • Immediately notify the police.
  • Fill in the amicable accident report, using the official template found in the vehicle, stating at least the licence plate number, the name and address of the other party, the insurer and, when possible, the policy number. Describe the accident concisely and accurately and record witness details, if any.
  • Do not prejudge or acknowledge any liability.
  • Do not leave the vehicle without taking the necessary measures to protect it from further damage, leaving it locked and not obstructing traffic.
  • Immediately report the incident to Moov rent-a-car by calling: (+34) 971 062 086 / (+34) 644 548 062.
Can I cancel my booking?

All cancellations must be made in writing to the following email address: bookings@moovrentacar.com, stating the booking number in the subject line.

Green Pack: no refund will be issued, except in the cases described in the “Conditions” section on our website.

Red Pack: a refund will be issued if the cancellation request is made at least 48 hours before the contract start date, except for the exceptions described in the “Conditions” section on our website. Within 48 hours prior to the start of the contract, a date change is allowed within a period of one year.
